my last part-time job

Today I did my last part-time job. I have worked as a teacher of cram school for 3 months. I taught all subject to elementary-school and junior high school students. To teach subject is not easy for me but it is good experience for me. When my students solve questions, they smile. I like looking them smile. I also like talking with them in a break time. Now I aim to be an English teacher in Japanese junior high or high school, but I want to take a elementary school teacher’s license too. I love children so much!!

Actually I want to continue this part time job until leaving Japan. But I have to prepare for study abroad. To gain good TOEFL score, I would like to do my best.

AMAKUSA

I was back to my hometown- Amakusa, from May 3 to May 6. This time homecoming is not just to relax but to conduct my Chinese friends through Amakusa.

May 3. My father and I picked my friends up and left Kumamoto city for Amakusa city at 9:00 a.m. When I get home on holiday, I am usually caught in a traffic jam. But this time the street was not so clotted with traffic. We arrived Amakusa at noon. Then, we went to dolphin watching. Amakusa is famous for dolphin, many people come to watch them. And this day was also many people came to there. There were many people and ship, but fortunately, our ship were in only 7(include us). So we could watch any place in the ship. I had watched dolphin a few times, but every time I can enjoy it! It was very fun for me. After that, we ate Chinese noodle for lunch and went to my house. My Chinese friends were surprised to see my house, because there are little a detached house in China. They were relaxed in my house and 2 of them were back to Kumamoto city by bus. The other one, May, was stay at my home.

May 4. My father May, and I went to church. Amakusa has Christian since long time ago. There are 2 old churches in Amakusa. It is also famous place. In past days, Christianity was prohibited by national policy. So some people turned to hidden Christian and professed Christianity. To trouble from government is difficult for them and finally the war was started. We call this war “Amakusa-Shimabara no ran”. I learned about this war when I was elementary school student. But actually it was first time for me to see and enter these churches. It was good for me to learn about the war again. On this day, May was back to Kumamoto city by bus. She left Amakusa at 3:00 p.m. but she arrived at 8:00 p.m.!! May be it was terrible traffic jam. After she left Amakusa, my sister and I backed chocolate cake for mother’s day. It was delicious and my mother glad to eat it. It was my pleasure too!

May 5. This evening my family celebrated my father’s and mine birthday. We ate many dishes and spend fun time. After the eating, we went to karaoke, it was also fun.

May 6. I was back to Kumamoto city with my parents. We stop by at “kurea” on our way home. My parents watched movie, during they enjoy the movie, I was enjoyed shopping. I bought many things and I was satisfied with it.

This holiday was fun for me. At first I intended to study English for TOEFL, but I hardly study. So I have to study very hard from today. And I must be on a diet!! I gain weight about 2 kg in this holiday ;-(

Birthday party

We hold a party at April 23. It was my friend’s and mine birthday party. Her birthday is April 21 and mine is April 20, so we celebrated together. 3 more friends come to our party.

First, we ate dinner at “tubohachi”. We ate many dishes. It was delicious and we were satisfied with them. At them, I got birthday present from Ayano, one of my friend. The present is a pretty pig money box. I would like to save for study abroad.

After that, we went to Karaoke-kan. We entered room 207, this room look to shimo-tori, so we were looked by passer. Some people wave them hand at us. We were very enjoyed singing.

This party was very fun. I want to have a party with them again!

My grandmother's birthday

Today is my grandmother’s 73th birthday. I didn’t know her age but I hared that, I was very surprised, because she looks like very young. Our family ate a hot pot cooked at the table. It was so delicious and I ate too much. After the eating my grandmother, cousin, sister and I went to bowling. We did 2 games. On the first game, I was bottom person. I really regretted because I lost to my cousin –he is only 7 years old. On second game I was a second person. I was glad but the first was my grandmother. I think she is very powerful woman.

There was a peddler. He was sale caps but not ordinary peddler. He carried his caps on top of his head. Many caps were on there. These caps were not sale day and day. He felt tired and took rest with his caps on top of his head. He slept very well. When he awaked there were no caps on his head. Many monkeys had his caps. He took back caps from monkeys and backed to his hometown.

One day her father uses that soup bawl and he was surprised that he herd Emily used the soup bawl for Clifford.

This story’s main character is George and he is a curious monkey. One day he found a big box. He opened it and there were many pieces of jigsaw puzzle. He thought it likes a piece of candy and he ate it. The next morning George had a stomachache. He went to the hospital and took a little operation. After the operation, he played at hospital’s kids’ room. He made many children happy even Betsy. Betsy is a girl patient and she rarely laugh. Nurses were also happy because they could see every child’s laughing face. George get a last piece of jigsaw puzzle from his stomach and he finished his puzzle.

Today I took part in coming of age day ceremony. This ceremony was started at 11; 00 a.m. But I woke up at 5; 30 a.m. because I reserved hair set and make-up at 6; 30. I need about 1 hour and 30 minutes. After make-up, I ware kimono. My mother’s friend dressed me. It took an hour. It was second time for me to wear kimono. It was uncomfortable but I like wearing kimono, because it is very beautiful I really like my kimono. I met many my old friends. Every body was beautiful. Some people I was remember, others I couldn’t remember his or her name. I asked his or her name to my friends. After the ceremony, I took many pictures with my friends. Wearing kimono was tired for me, but I was very excited meeting my friends.
At evening I went to old boys’ and girls’ meeting. There were many people and fun. But I was tired so I returned to the house in the middle of a party.
Today I was satisfied and happy.

New Year's Day

Today is New Year’s Day. My family stays in my grandmother’s –my father’s mother- house. We ate special dishes for example, oseti, ozouni, sushi, low fish, omiki, and so on. Oseti is Japanese traditional New Year’s dishes, there are many kinds of foods and it can last long time. Oaouni is also Japanese traditional dishes; rice cakes boiled with vegetables. I ate these special dishes in my father’s mother house for break fast and I ate special dishes again in my mother’s mother house for lunch, so I ate too mush dishes. After the lunch I went to shrine with my family and we bought talisman at there. Then we backed to our house. We got many New Year’s card but almost of them were for my mother. I got only 2 New Year’s card but I got many New Year’s e-mail from my friends. I checked lottery number. My father buy year-end lottery every year. This year, he bought 4 wad -12000 yen- it is more than last year. He and I thought we will get much money. But we hit only 3900 yen (;o;). He and I ware disappointed. I got that hit lottery, I have to cash them.

spiny lobster

This is spiny lobster, we call it ise-ebi in Japanese. It is very delicious lobster. My father bought them by his friends. When we got them, it was still alive. My father cut one of them and my sister and I ate low spiny lobster. It was of cause delicious and flesh. The other lobster will cooked by my grandmother and become miso-soup. I think that miso soup is also delicious!

Wii

I did “Wii” with my sister. Wii is TV game and my sister got it for Christmas present from my parents –Santa Claus. She also got “Wii fit” from my grandmother. It is game soft and contains many games, training and yoga. We use our body on this game and I think it is good for our health. After I enjoyed this game, I was a little tired. My sister said to me “maybe you will have muscle pain tomorrow, because I got it at my first day.”

A tale of Mari and three puppies

I watched “A tale of Mari and three puppies” with my family at Hamasen Movie Theater. This is dog’s movie and based on the Niigata-tyuuetu earthquake. It occurred 2004, October 23 and magnitude was 6.8. There were many victims in that aria, not only human but also animals. Mari, the main character dog, was one of them. She is Aya’s pet and she rescued Aya and her grandfather. After that Aya and her grandfather were rescued by the Japanese Self-Defense Forces but Mari was not rescued by them. Aya cried and she tried to serve them. Several days after Mari was saved by Aya and SDF.

This is Shimo-tori. I took this picture 6; 00 a.m. Usually there are many people in this street but in this time, there are little people and quiet. I felt this street is larger than daytime.

Now, night downtown is beautiful by many illuminations. I took this picture in front of Turuya. I hard hilltop and Aso has good illumination spots. I wanted to watch them. But I couldn’t do it, it may be finished. I would like to watch them in my future.

year-end party (friends)

We held a party at my apartment. I prepared many dishes, for example pizza, cake, chickens. Chickens are Christmas’s leftover. We could get these cheap. The party started about 6; 30 p.m. We ate many dishes, snacks and drink. At 10; 30 p.m., we went to downtown. We did karaoke from 11; 00 p.m. to 6; 00 a.m. We sang many songs and we didn’t stop to sing songs. It was fun but tired. I backed my apartment at 6; 30 a.m. and I fell sleep immediately.

I wrote New Year’s cards for my teachers. I found good design of card and printed it. Unexpectedly it took many times to write cards. I will also send New Year’s greeting for my friends not post card but e-mail.

I backed cheesecake for my friends. I got cream cheese and yoghurt from Ayaka, one of my friends. We will hold an end-year party at my house so I backed this cake. It is Christmas present for them from me. It is easy to cooking and delicious.
